A DC Wall Hunt

A DC Wall Hunt

"No one can say you're not committed," Emma told me when I let her in on my plan.

This past weekend, Emma and I headed down to DC to attend a craft fair but we had a plan. We were aiming to leave Baltimore at 8:30 a.m. so we could stop in Virginia and scope out some walls.

While we left closer to 9 (due to a combination of hangover-eyeliner that just wouldn't flick-forgetting the tickets) we made it down to Virginia easily and were able to find some awesome walls.

DC and Virginia are full of awesome wall art – and I'm totally eager to find more. JBG Companies, a real estate company in DC, is steadily commissioning different artists to create different wall murals to create "engaging spaces." If you check out their website, they've got a whole map of cool walls to check out.

Here are a few of my favorite DC/VA walls I've found in the past two months.

Rosslyn Mural by Jason Woodside

1911 N Fort Myer Dr, Arlington, VA 22209

Crystal Wynwood Murals

1851 S Bell St, Arlington, VA 22202

Pink Zebra Wall

One block up from: Union Market, 1309 5th St NE, Washington, DC 20002

Stripes and Colors

51 N Street NE, Washington, DC 20002

Where's your favorite wall art in the DC/MD/VA area? Let me know in the comments and I'll try to check it out.
