In today’s “yay or nay” post, I’m sharing what you need to know about Little Damage, a.k.a. the place in LA that makes “goth” ice cream! I made it a priority to stop here on my most recent trip – jet lagged be damned and today I'm letting you know if it's worth the trip.

What: If you’re channeling your inner basic b (no shame, that’s what this segment is all about), you’re probably going to Little Damage for the goth ice cream. The flavor was a mix of horchata with a little extra cinnamon – seriously so good. But if you’re nervous about diving into charcoal ice cream, no worries! The staff at Little Damage offers free samples to waiting customers, so you don’t have to commit to something you might not like.

Where: Little Damage is right in DTLA, so if you’re going to make a day of it down there – check out the Broad, The Last Bookstore and Grand Central Market.

Parking: It’s DTLA – so I’d avoid having to park around there. I lucked out and my mom double parked while I waited in line.

Crowds: When we pulled up there was a line out the door, and by the time I left it had wrapped around the block! Little Damage is a teensy tiny store, so don’t let the line dissuade you. From the time I got in line to the time I was back in the car with my ice cream – the whole process took about thirty minutes. Normally, waiting in a long line by myself would make me feel like an anxious loser – but one of the things I’ve come to realize about trendy trips like this is that everyone’s there for the same reason you are. Everyone wants to take the same picture of the same neon sign and then take a snap of their ice cream in front of the cool wallpaper – no one in that environment is going to judge you for doing the same thing! Just own it, have fun and pay it forward by helping cute couples or friend groups take their photos.

Yay or Nay: YAY – 100%. The vibe was good, the people were friendly and the ice cream was delicious.
